Welcome to Ault Holistic Therapy: Your Path to Healing and Growth

Aug 13, 2024

Hello, and welcome to Ault Holistic Therapy! I’m Ayla Ault, LCSW, MFTC, and I am delighted to share with you the holistic approaches that define my work.

In my practice, I strive to create a caring and safe environment where you can truly feel heard and understood. My therapeutic approach is grounded in a strengths-based, humanistic perspective, which means I believe in your inherent capacity to overcome life’s challenges. Much of my clinical work is also rooted in Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Theory, and you’ll hear me talk about both of these in our work together. It’s my honor to accompany you on your journey toward achieving your goals and finding personal fulfillment.

Education and Experience

I hold a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work and have further specialized with a Post Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Denver Family Institute. My extensive training includes:

  • Gottman Couples Therapy Levels 1 & 2
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Training, DFI
  • Somatic (body) based trauma processing from the Somatic Wilderness Therapy Institute
  • EMDR Training through The Maiberger Institute
  • Fundamentals of Working with Neurodiverse Couples in Therapy, AANE
  • Reiki Level 3 and Teacher Training from the Usui lineage

In addition to these qualifications, my personal journey through Vipassana meditation (as taught by S.N. Goenka), Buddhist philosophies, and various bodywork and other therapeutic modalities deeply informs my practice. As someone who is late-diagnosed AuDHD, I have a profound understanding of how neurodivergent experiences can shape communication, relationships, and our self-esteem. This unique perspective allows me to connect with and support folx with diverse neurotypes in meaningful ways.

What I Offer

In our sessions, you can expect a variety of therapeutic tools and techniques tailored to your specific needs. My training from the Denver Family Institute created a foundation through experiential education and practice that allows me to offer specialized support for couples navigating relationship challenges. Whether you’re seeking individual therapy or couples counseling, my goal is to help you uncover and harness your strengths while empowering and supporting you in overcoming the obstacles you face.

A Personal Touch

When I’m not in the therapy room, I enjoy gardening and hiking, writing poetry, playing video games, and spending quality time with my two elderly kitties, Ripley and Newt. They sometimes make an appearance during teletherapy sessions, adding a touch of cuteness and sass, as well as some well timed grounding.

Let’s Connect

If you’re ready to explore how therapy can support your personal or relational growth, I invite you to reach out and schedule a consultation. Together, we can start working towards your goals in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your path to healing and growth.

Warmly,

Ayla Ault, LCSW, MFTC
